Bliss, Kathleen

We the people : a book about laity / Kathleen Bliss. - London : SCM Press, 1963. - 139 p. ; 19 x 12 cm.

This is a book about Iaity. At least 99.5 % of the Church is not ordained. For centuries the layman's role was neglected, but now there is enthusiasm- wich may claim too much. What, then, is the Church meant to be? Dr. Bliss believes that through the ecumenical movement and the return to the Bible the churches are discovering together new things about the calling of the whole "people of Gos" (ordained and lay) in the world.

New life for old. The laity: a renewed concern? The whole church in the whole world. The calling of the laity Who are we? The people of god. The peolple of god in the world. The congregation and the people of god.
