The Gospel according to St. John is to many people the most precious book in the Bible. It is an amazing book. It can be read and loved without any commentary at all. Troughtout the generations simple people have fed their hearts and nourished their souls on it with with nothing but the text of the Authorised Version in their hands. But the more we study Jhon, the more weath arises out of it. There are times when I was forced to take it, especially in the first chapter, almost verse by verse, for every verse was overflowing with riches. It is my hope and my prayer that many will find the patiente neccesary for this detailed study of John, for only thus its words reveal their full riches.
