"The First World Theologians did not come with a single voice, but spoke out of their different concrete contexts of oppression and struggle, while seeking to be in solidarity with the suffering peoples of the Third World. Feminist theology, theology of crisis, political theology, and radical evangelical theology, are some of their efforts expressing the fresh air of repentance and renewal in the First World. Proponents of these theologies want to be in dialogue with those doing theology in the Third World. This dialogue among First World Theologians was only initiated in Geneva, but it represents the presence of the Spirit of God in our divided world and the reason for hope for the future". - From the Final Statement of the Geneva Conference.
