This book of sermons, which takes its title from Habakkuk, is the first of its kind in the denomination. The Board of Higher Education and Ministry is pleased to make it available to a wider audience. These sermons make clear the confident expectation of the church that God will find the proper instruments to proclaim with joy the coming of the kingdom. A sermon needs to be heard and not read for the fullest appreciation. This reminds us that until more women have access to distinguished pulpits, lectureships, and seminary teaching position, most of their sermons will be available in printed from only. So this volume is being published to hasten the time when the ministry of the church will be filled with the riches of the wider and deeper preaching tradition.
